The teachers do not care about others and the older students throw stuth at younger students

First of all this school got outstanding last year 2023 God knows who they got it cuz what's happening in that school is horrible, learning and attainment wise and behaviour wise. I wouldn't recommend nor for teachers not for kids. Lots of disrespect , bullying , and school reputation comes before anyone. This school deserves RI it requires lots of improvement in lots of areas , learning, behaviour, personal development, staff wellbeing....

This is awful school full of teachers that bully kids for a laugh instead of talking to there students they send them to behaviour schools and put them in isolation this school Cares more about ofsted then there students this is apporling

If anyone is thinking of sending their child to this school I would seriously re-think this isn’t a school it’s run like a prison for kids. From the reception staff to the teaching staff they are rude patronising and will do their best to belittle people. One particular teacher Miss Naden who is arrogant obnoxious and severely lacks people skills the biggest mistake I ever made was sending my child to this school

We get lots of opportunities but we are never told about room changes. Our timetable was incorrect and we went to the classroom we thought we were in but it was taken by y8s. The teacher had no clue where we were meant to be so we stood around for a few minutes but nothing happened so we walked down the corridor (this is half the class btw) and I found a free classroom but it wasn't my teacher in there so I asked him if he knew anything and he checked on Sims but there was no information so we waited in his classroom for a while but he ended up sending us to the reception so we ended up stood in the reception asking them but they couldn't find anything and CH ended up radioing for KW because he is AMAZING with kids and we had been stood in there ages and then the reception said we would just have to walk round and fend for each other!

I would give it 4 stars as it is a good school and we get lots of opportunities here but we should be allowed to the toilet in lessons and in my opinion there are too many students and not enough classrooms/staff. We had a room change for French (GCSEs and all that) and the room they changed us to was taken so we ended up sat in the cantine until they managed to find a free classroom. But overall it is a good school

Don’t care about students say help children with disabilities say they know about diabetes But don’t have a clue all teachers all stick together even when they say to your face other teacher was out of Oder and allow to abuse there authority thinking they can bully children with special needs they are worst school in Leeds they never answer phone even tho all sat in office if child one min late even with a reason gets detention and for what they get for food on dinner card isn’t even worth it if your child is in isolation sometimes don’t get dinner teacher follow your child to toilet and block them and now on about glass doors so children can only go at certain times don’t sort bulling even when a teacher is bulling and lock you in school when try to leave after witnessing them bulling your child say no head teacher available or anyone for meetings this is just a joke

went for a little tiddiewinkle whislt visiting my son who was trapped there and there was shite all over the bathroom floor. Was utterly disugsted, would not recommend

These people are so horrible to their students smh ??‍♀️ they are so bothered about the shape of students trousers that they don’t do anything about racism like in a situation when someone has said something homophobic they are so quick to throw all the accused students in iso with no proper investigation and they never want to hear everyones side of the story they just want to look like they can deal with bullying even though they’re the bullies? but when it comes to racism they dont care at all, they do absolutely nothing abt it and then have the cheek to make it look like the accused are lying. i feel like the behaviour team laugh in someones face for reporting racism? even their behaviour team is horrible none of the behaviour managers care when kids are falsely sactioned yet they shout at people for getting a certain amount of conments. maybe if they weren’t so bothered about water bottles and our trousers they might actually treat students like human beings ? that’s probably why they have to do pop up events and bring in rides to make us come in

My child has now just left The Farnley academy and I will warn you now DO NOT send your children here , my daughter would come home day after day with more in bullying incidents and as she was told “we will speak to this student” which never happened at all and was just swept under the rug! The headteacher cares too much about the look of the school that the students are disciplined over silly things like trousers , shoes etc, my child was placed into isolation over her trousers been “too tight” or not fitting in with ,if you shake the top of them the bottom has to shake . Absolute BS I tell you she missed out on an Alton towers trip over uniform not Behaviour uniform . THIS school is more like a military camp than a school and these children deserve justice . They are more thought as numbers than pupils !!!

If I could give it no stars I would. A horrible school has such a bad experience. Never do anything about mental health if you ask them for help expect to be left alone. Put you in isolation for anything the teachers don’t care and are too scared to suck up to mr stokes… In year 11 expect to screamed at every lesson if your grades aren’t up to “standards”. If they cared as much about mental health that they did trousers most kids would actually be happy.

Feral kids probably won't make much of a contribution to society feom what I have seen. Not all I'm sure but vast majority.Should also say school dont reply so I would firmly lay the blame at their feet.

I’ve genuinely had a poor experience with the academy. I’m going into year 11 soon so I’ve genuinely had some experience and insight into the school. First, the school never handles any problems. I once had a friend who told me that the support leaders don’t care about things like self harm or suicidal thoughts because they’ve seen/heard worse?? As a school you should be able to support ALL students whether the issue is big or small. Secondly, you have to be perfect. It’s incredibly stupid that I’m the one getting punished because my trousers aren’t baggy at the bottom as if they're easy to find. Constant searching for the right uniform and you end up settling for something that’s mid way between acceptable and unacceptable that’s incredibly uncomfortable and hoping that teachers won’t notice. When the school got it’s ofsted inspection rated requires improvement, all blame was placed on the students. The problems were how the staff were dealing with students! Don’t send your children here, trust me. They’ll end up leaving stupider than they come in but at least they know what times they can shop for the best trousers!!

I'm wanting to move my son to another school as had very bad experiences with this school like no other EVER! You cannot communicate with this school in 'urgent situations' such as your son having possible covid and needing to be sent home as noone bothers to ever answer the phone on any of thier lines! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO COMMUNICATE!!!! They have NOT supported my family throughout this pandemic they have left what they should be offering like other schools do (covid tests etc etc) to OTHER schools! Basically my sons siblings school have offered the support they should have to THIER PUPIL! They do not show empathy to families situations because they do not care, they even got my name completely wrong!

i used to think it was okay, but now after Chris Stokes came it's gone straight to hell. the food they provide is horrible and overpriced, profiting off of kids who have no other choice but to eat there. they cant even deal with racism, homophobia and transphobia appropriately and when students rightfully call out the school for their miseducation they deflect the blame back onto the students. they make themselves out to be this great school when really it's just horrible. they expect everything to be perfect all the time like seriously, these are teenagers, children, and they expect them to act like perfect adults. perfect uniform, not too baggy pants, but not too tight. not too big tie, but not too small. and on top of this, they always expect pristine behaviour and grades or they'll offload you to stephen longfellow. one of my friends isnt doing too well with school and the pressure the teachers are putting on her to be at 8s by the end of the year (even in year 10) is killing her. there are lots of issues in this school, i wouldnt recommend sending your children here.

I’m a parent and I think this school is horrendous, mental health is never dealt with or help and bullying is left aside. Some teachers also think it’s okay to treat kids like nothing and throw them in isolation whenever they want. Shit school and need to improve and can afford all these trips and rides but not a fucking glue stick pathetic.
