I agree with reviews here

Not just an issue for POC/specific race or specific culture...
Problems for any attendee, because as reviewed by contributors here, the discipline has precedence over everything else. I have seen undue shouting at children of all colours.
Making repeat submissions to school about rights of the child, is falling on deaf ears.
Even when externally to the school, there are huge strides on expectations of fairness in education, and the rest of us know that equality laws apply to everyone.
So why does this school insist on ignorning the external environment?
The promises on the website do not match reality because it has fallen into the trap of other schools who think they are in a bubble and can get away with whatever they want.
A small number of schools nationally are responsible for not reading the law and cause most of the pain.
This school is still learning and it may take some time.

Do not send your son to this school if you are a POC.

I fought to put my son in this school 4 years ago as I knew parents with sons studying there from the year before, who were full of praise. It was new, full of promise and it’s ethos seemed to match mine in terms of academia, outlook and discipline. However, 4 years down the line, I am considering taking my son out of this school to homeschool ( as a few parents have already done so, including those who encouraged me to go).
This is because the school has lost its hold on how to educate the boys. They are more concerned with disciplining the boys on ridiculous matters like hair length, talking in class ( when they are discussing work), etc The school is biased with different punishments for the children who’s parents are on the board (much more lenient) and are Caucasian, compared to those who are students of colour , (one instance is when they forced a boy to carry on playing sports whilst he was fasting and complained about feeling faint). One telling incident is when my son ( who is a poc) was taken out of the classroom, punished for something he didn’t do, against all his protests, only to be told later it was “another poc” and the teacher had gotten confused. Surely, this breaks several discrimination laws in this country?!
The teachers are awful and treat the students appallingly and most of the good ones have left en masse. My son is bullied by the teachers and regardless of any internal investigation that proves his innocence, he is always being punished for things he hasn’t done whilst the Caucasian boys are given “support for trauma.”
Instead of the focus being on creating an environment where the children enjoy going, are eager to learn and are encouraged to be model citizens , they are creating an environment where the boys ( just poc) hate going to. I know these are serious allegations but everytime I have tried to address this, I have been shut down collectively by their administration. Also the food they serve is inedible and many children have gotten food poisoning and even though every parent I know there, has complained about it. The school refuses to even acknowledge that there is a problem. I am seriously considering taking my son out as he comes home and cries everyday, not about the students but the teachers and how they treat him. I definitely would not recommend this school for your son, unless you are Caucasian, wish to be part of the governors board or are involved with Friends of FBS, then it’s a totally different story.
