A shit school full of dumb fuckers

If I could give it no stars, I would with its new headteacher, Markey boo, it has gotten a whole lot worse. Quite frankly, it is rather shit at dealing with any bad situation and they even hire some nonce who terrifies the kids. SMH. If you wanna send your kids to Hell, this is the place for you!

Poor SEN support and poor organisation.

First and foremost: if your child is SEN or requires additional support in school (and I cannot emphasise this enough) do NOT send them here. From 2020-2025 , I was a female student who suffers with both generalised and social anxiety and medically acknowledged neurodivergence. Throughout my time at school, if I ever approached SENCO, pastoral staff, or head of years in a state of emotional distress, I was dismissed and/or asked if I was currently menstruating. This patronising behaviour continued into year 10, until I was prescribed the pill which only made pastoral staff outwardly dismissive of me. I was told during episodes of extreme emotional distress they could not account for my absence in lessons and sent me into lessons in states of extreme emotional distress (crying, shaking, hyperventilating ect,) with little regard for my mental health or wellbeing.

To be clear, I do not entirely blame staff for this. It is apparent that most lack proper training and do things by the book. But isn't just this less reason to send your child here?

As mentioned before, I have gone through school with social anxiety. Due to this social anxiety I have, obviously, become a victim for bullying. One of the recent incidents consisted of a group of boys finding my private social media accounts and making fun of me for the contents (which, to clarify, is 100% harmless). When I explained this to my assistant HOY, she told me the bullying was "Really [my] fault, and [I] need to be more careful about what [I] post". While I understood her perspective, I explained my account was private and that I did not let any of the boys who harassed me onto the account nor anyone I knew they were affiliated with, she still remained that there was nothing she could do about the incident. This is not the most prominent instance of bullying I have endured, but the lack of response to the bullying is certainly consistent.

Furthermore, during my final year I have noticed an utter lack of communication and disorganisation between staff. The school does these comprehensive revision sessions called "masterclasses" to help prepare students for exams. While this has went smoothly for other years, this year it has been all over the place. The timetable for these 'masterclasses' was released both on the same day they started and incomplete. Sometimes you would show up to a masterclass and the teacher could have no idea about it until right that second. Form tutors are not emailed about school events until the last second (if at all), and departments are noticeably understaffed. There has been consistent issues with the subject of psychology, which was taught by one teacher, who left halfway through year 10. For the latter half, we were left with no teacher and missed a considerable chunk of our GCSE spec because interviews had not been conducted and nobody had been hired to fill the gap. When we got a teacher the next year (who, ironically, was already working as a maths teacher) she was nothing short of brilliant and consistent. She cared a lot about our education and wanted to get us to where we should have been. However, of no fault of her own, she caught pneumonia and had to leave for a month. During this month, we were supposed to be given work assigned by her while she was recovering. Instead, another member of staff began to lead us in the total opposite direction, confusing things further. I assume he thought he was being helpful, but this again highlights the lack of communication at The Heath.

All this to say, the school is not without its positive attributes. There are members of staff who DO care about the children they teach, the subjects they teach, and children's wellbeing. It's just not enough to be entirely representative.

this school

I will honestly say that this school is disgusting and intolerant. I am glad to have met my friends at school, but somehow that's the only thing i am happy for..??

The teachers constantly pick sides and treat the actual caring and good students horribly, for example, 'popular' kids in this school get treated with kindness, help and are honestly treated like angels. However, kids who are quiet, keep to themselves and just try to get an education are screamed at for literally doing nothing....... The teachers are also incredibly rude and nasty, yet when a student calls them out on it they get defensive??

Since I have been here, homophobia, transphobia etc, has spread across the students in this school, me personally being a victim of homophobia, however the teachers have the nerve to not do anything about it?? The school constantly say "We take bullying very seriously." However, it gets to a point students have to leave school because of how horrible the bullying becomes? Yet, nothing is ever done about it. I have SEEN multiple students have a breakdown, panic attack etc because the school refuses to help them

just thought i'd add that this school not only added stress on me, but added stress on my own MOTHER.

this school has seriously been the worst 5 years of my life but i cant lie... i will miss u school pizza's.. ily

An honest review

In my years at this school, O have faced lots of bullying and homophobia. The bullying was rarely dealt with and when it was, students were just pulled out of class for 5 minutes. Furthermore, when I endeavoured to persuade the Head Teacher, he just told me that homophobia is basically just something that he can't control and prevent so he won't put proper sanctions in place. Very disappointing. The other teachers were nice though and understanding. However, most of these teachers didn't have much of an ability to tackle the homophobia as they didn't have the power to. Furthermore, there was a lot of confusion between the students due to how teachers teach things differently. One year, they may, for example, be taught one method in maths, the next year, they may be taught a completely different method. This creates lots of confusion as the two different memories interfere with each other leaving the student in a state where they struggle to understand how to answer the question at all

Not good

The school isn't the best out there if I'm totally honest exclusion policies are whack some teachers aren't the best but some are lovely there's one teacher specific who isn't pleasent at all he's a PE teacher he's abusive towards specific students has no responsibility of his actions most pupils are violent there is barely any help towards SEN students there is people walking the corridors during lesson constant and the teachers don't care I nearly got jumped on the way home and the students had no disciplinery action held against them but I get put in isolation for defending myself because the teachers don't deal with bullying to a necessary standard if you are considering sending your child here reconsider
