My experience of Marlborough science academy

A list of the bad and good things about this school:
-Extreme amounts of homophobia and transphobia
-constant disregard of rules
-I often don't feel safe due to my sexuality
-most teachers have given up on punishment
-i have had many things thrown at me in class (including rocks) with a teacher watching, they did nothing to stop it
- I have been called many slurs
- the school often says that it trys to stop bullying but does very little if reported and only exposes that you reported the bully which can put you in danger
- luckily there isn't too much racism (at least in my year) but only because they would get beaten up, the teachers do nothing

Currently I can't think of many good things other than the big field

Overall I would not recommend going to this school

A review on the Marlborough science academy

Extreme amounts of homophobia and transphobia with very little consequences. Racism is not too common but only because anyone that is racist would get beaten up, the teachers do nothing. I often feel unsafe being around other students that aren't part of my friend group in fear that I will get beaten up for my sexuality. Some teachers are good at teaching but bad at controlling the class, others are good at controlling the class but bad at teaching. There are very little good teachers. Constant disregard of rules by most people and quite often there is an exceptional amount of violence. Anybody that put a good review are either very optimistic or probably abuse their power that this school gives disruptive students while I have to put up with them every day. For example of the behaviour of this school: I have had many things thrown at me in class with teachers watch but nothing was done to stop it, the bathrooms are constantly filled with people vaping and smoking. I believe to improve this school they need to listen to the students more and treat us more like humans.

Rough and racist school

Most students are rough and violent in my class they often threaten people with knife crime threats they also shout things like gang randomly. The school is good except from that
The year 11 pupils are really rude and they are mischievous. You will here the n word and the c a lot. There are random year 8 selling vapes
People get stabbed with pencils in my class. The teachers struggle to control there class. Students are usually racist about foreign teachers they do there accent and make fun of them.

Poor behaviour from head to toe

I have been there in quality of Cover Supervisor and I can witness a very disrespectful behaviour and staff know and do not do anything about it, instead they blame the cover teacher.

It's not the best!

Not great to be honest. Traumatising at worst. School has a LOT of horror stories surrounding abusive amongst peers that I'd poorly handled in the faculty. The actual schooling is really good, the education is amazing but very little pastoral support which is very important for teenagers.

There is no education.

From me and my year groups experience, dont go.

There is a large number of things that happend there from year 7 all the way to year 11. I will not put them all on this list as it would be so long and noone would read it, so.. In a breif way i will note briefly, just a few incidents.

- One teacher threated to bomb the school abd got to stay after that incident.

- Another teacher said to me and another art student that "Art is for the stupid".

- group of students bog washed the new year 7s.

- bullying never gets any attention, if you tell a teacher they wont help you.
