Completely Inappropriate

On their trip to Paris, teachers shouted at children who did not belong to their school and later were extremely verbally abusive to teachers of the other school, even causing one to cry. Extremely disrespectful, inappropriate and rude.

Incompetence of teachers

During my time as a student the teachers were fully incapable of solving issues that the students had to the point where while I was in the pastoral office someone told me that someone was going to jump me. The entire pastoral office didn’t bat an eye or say anything and let me leave the office to later get jumped.

Serious assault by three students on another

My 12 year old son was attacked by three same year group little thugs during lunch time football play. They slammed his head down hard onto the hard grass pitch. Then they all kicked him several times before leaving to harass other players. My son ended up at A&E with concussion. Other students are afraid of the trio but none of this has been picked up up by school staff because they have been careful not to be caught. School has promised strong punishment but we are not being told what it is.
Have contacted police and there is now a crime number for assault. After going back to school after a week off to recover he was again threatened with further assaults and accused of being a 'faker'

Incompetent staff and child safety.

The worst experience of my life. Since year 7 to year 11 I was bullied and harassed. The staff did not do anything to prevent bullying or assault in any way shape or form. The pastoral staff, which is supposed to deal with bullying, finance, etc. Doesn’t even understand the laws on self defence. I once tried to show the same staff a video of a student doing something illegal in school but they refused to see it as I “shouldn’t have my phone out in school”. Absolutely nothing about the safety of children is this school is taken into account. Every month or so there where fights and in one a child used a pole. The staff is fully incapable of student safety. For the entirety of year 10 we had a substitute teacher that was only supposed to take a few days. Because of this they only taught one thing for an entire year. I failed my English the next year and during the same years mocks. So not only is the children’s safety not a concern but neither is the grades. The school had enough English teachers at the time to have a qualified teacher replace her or inform her of what to teach. Teachers usually won’t deal with classroom issues or will create them by sending students that don’t do a thing or only send one student out despite the entire class doing the exact same thing. This happened to multiple students across multiple years and classes. The staff should be taught the basics of self defence law. Take children’s safety and mental health into consideration. At all. And make sure the students are being taught correctly. There is only one teacher I value or even knew anything about how to teach and children’s safety. I can not mention their name but they are a history and law teacher. Other than that one teacher the rest are incapable of normal child safety and should be taught it. I was even owed a bike lock by a child that broke mine and the staff assured me they’d make him or the parent pay for a new one but to this day have not revived it.

Not my cup of tea.

Currently a year 8.
I started at the school last year and was bullied since day one. By people and knew at primary and people I didn't. When I told staff nothing was done. My mental health is deteriorating due to the school. Some teachers are great but many can't control classes. My grades keep dropping with no support. My sister who is a sixth former now experienced similar issues.

the teachers don’t have any control over the students and don’t do their job properly.

Netherhall

I have been at this school since year 7, and have been bullied since the end of my first year all the way to the end of year 9- which is when the school finally decided to do something about. Overall, I did NOT have a good experience there. I hated it so much that in year 11 my attendance dropped down to 76% due to complications with my physical health (caused by my mental health). However, I loved some of the teachers, they were understanding, nice and taught well; especially my English, science, history, art and math teacher. I loved having them and I will never forget how they made my time at the school a little more easy to tolerate.
