I've only joined Year 7 and it's a nightmare. If u wear the wrong shoes you get isolation. Teachers do not care about mental health and toilets locked and opened at 9am. The food is amazing! But teachers randomly shout at you for no reason even though I'm doing the right thing. Losing your card gets you 45 minute detention I don't think that's fair. Children would be allowed phones only at break because what if they need to text there parents or complete some of their homework .

It’s not the best

It’s good with education and safety But some of the Rules are absolutely insane! Toilets are locked until 9am. A teacher has to sign a card if your uniform is not correct and if you lose the card you get a 45 minute detention after school! Your not really allowed to go the toilet during lesson.
Their bullying policy is non existent. And The teachers shout and blame us for not being in a completely straight line after break and they basically waste our lesson time until we get in a straight line.. phones are not aloud and they care about uniform more then education in my opinion. I’m in year 9 now and I miss year 7 because the school was so chill back then now it’s like a mental asylum.

My experience at NFA

This school doesn’t care about the students. theres only 5 toilets open at breaks, toilets are locked before 9am. Teachers do not care if you have a panic attack in their class they just look at you. There is only about 3 teachers who really care. Your not allowed to express yourself people get put in isolation for having buzzcuts because that is ‘offensive’ We all have to come in (even if your sick) otherwise you give the school a bad name. Your not allowed to sit with your tutors if your having a bad day at breaks nope you have to be outside. They just don’t care about the students they are only there for the paycheck. I do not recommend coming to this school

Needs improvement!!

This school ccan't handle students mental health very well due to lack of well-being experience, and often teachers mis-read social cues and put socially reserved people on the spot and making them feel vulnerable. They also have a zero tolerance rule for phones which can mean miscommunication when it comes to things like parent pick ups and communication to people outside of school during break times. As well as this the no phone ban means school students can feel tied down because they cannot do their homework in school hours. This leads to much homework being uncompleted. This needs to be sorted. Not only this but most students that cannot behave are often "let off" and not disciplined properly, whilst well behaved students are frequently picked on for minor things. This means many well behaved students lack self esteem in the school environment, whilst more rule breaking students are confident and loud because they believe they are above the rules, due to the fact they are rarely punished. As an overview, this school has the potential to be a very good healthy bustling learning environment, due to certain negatives, it can not be described as so. What the school lacks in morality and consideration, it certainly makes up for in staff. Vast majority of staff are lively, loveable and friendly towards students, and provide kids with a safe haven away from the strict rules and bullies. There are a select few that are overly strict and don't do the school any good, but you get those sort of teachers in any school. Majority of staff are humorous and highly inspirational towards me and other people in the school, and I can give serious credit to them for shaping me into the person I am.

This school provides both stresses and reliefs. I guess it's done something right due to the clarity of my review. I hope this helps any parents who are deciding on a secondary school for their child.

I'm only in year 7. And I have disliked it. The rules get strict every month or year they dont control the students well. Some of the teachers are nice here but most arent, I have never known a school that cares so much about uniform and rules.
