Traumatised me. I got touched up by a year 10 when I was in year 8, teachers are no help emotionally or academically, worst experience of my life. Thinking back to high school feels like a fever dream. If you love your child, please god do not send them here as it’s traumatic.

As a student im going to do a modern and strict review.

This is a joke. We get learning teachers that are rubbish at teaching. They'll complicate the methods yet when it could be explained so simple. Top sets get learning teachers that when its like a major achievement to get into a top set, for me personally especially in a subject ive struggled with, having a learning/new teacher teach me has made me even thicker than I alreadly am in that area, several other students agreeing with me. It may be a top set but we all have our own struggles. I cant imgaine lower sets who are trying to achieve their own goals and move up and become 'smarter' having this type of student.

They only seem to care about statistics as ive heard that when ofsted come around or whoever, if you tell truth on how this schools bad you will get sent home as to not say more or put in reflection.

The teachers are rude. The headteacher gave an assembly not so long ago on how he thinks its bad teacher shout at you etc and promised changes. Well why is this one teacher ,that im not going to name but im sure students will recognise her, allowed to scream, shout and made you feel terrible and if you're going to relate to her disrespect you are the bad person. I've had her fingers in my face, her acting nice around other teachers but screaming and shouting when unessecary around, strict expectations which are unnecessary, we have to line up AGAINST THE WALL, reflected if talking which is too harsh. There are some really nice, understandable teacher in this school though, just a handful, but they are going to be hardly recognised. The teachers are majority entitled and rude, not giving students a voice of their own sometimes. We cant explain ourselves, if we are frustrated because of a teacher or another student we must just get on with it as sometimes the support is quite ridiculous.

They dont expel kids who misbehave. Im not on about minor misbehaving, im on about those who do it repeatedly and get away with it. Those who are selfish to teachers. Sometimes it makes me understand those awful teachers who im sure just like to make ourselves miserable on purpose. But still, understand its not every student. But back on the misbehaving children, its ridiculous. What im about to say may sound controversial but it is sincerely true. The amount of kids who are harassing others and teacher and being bad but get away with it is a joke. The reason why some do is because of 'special needs.' Some genuinely have special needs which may affect their behaviour which is understandable. I get why they'll act out the schools a joke especially the teachers and a certain one I was discussing earlier. But those who's special needs aren't affecting their behaviour and just choose to be a pain or those who it may affect but you can tell its definitely on purpose do. Heck, some fake having it, their parents will fake them having it and just say they do so they'll get away with stuff. You should be able to discipline these kids without being horrible and to discipline the right ones. If I can tell why cant they? There's this one student who stalks this boy, attacks him and is obsessed with him, hes her ex, and they haven't gotten rid of her. They haven't even taken any steps. The reason being, 'special needs' Its so degrading for those who have special needs and deserve support and guidance and struggle with their behaviour than those with or 'with' who are deliberately trying to wreck others days and get away with it. It ends up they'll get away with it but someone else does something one time they are punished. Get it sorted.

The safety and security id say is fine, but the fights can honestly be prevented if you were to sought things out straight away. They won't move kids who have had conflicts with someone and are in the same lessons and feel endangered or it affects their learning because of it or their relatives to that person or friends who hate them.

The indoor and outside environment is fine but I think there could definitely be atleast one more area for people to hang out as sometimes its too crowded, I think if there were it would be all spread out during breaks and lunches, however I understand the difficulty with this. But im sure if they change lessons hours and time lengths the next week or day or send a text to some and not all about times changing they could figure this put :)

I must admit, the food has always been great. They had cookies but changed them for more healthier ones which are still quite nice. The genuine food is nice too but I think it'd be intresting for more options. They are quite cheap and do full you up though. The canteen however is tiny especially how all years have the same lunch. Lining and crowds are a disaster sometimes. I cant bare to imgaine those who get overwhelmed by things like this during it.

Information being spread could seriously be improved. The amount of things ive missed whilst attending school is a joke. There's a student Council and student leaders and ambassadors thing for transition, reading and sports. One time, the student leaders were doinga pen pal for people starting a very new school, being the only year there and the information was told by students to tell everyone else. This was a joke. I amd a few others missed out on this. If you're going to change club things and what not even if its a small group of people's thing getting changed you should be telling them or getting teachers or form teachers, covers or not, to spread this information. The rest id suppose is quite mid.

Actives are rather nice. There's a good amount of clubs on which anyone can attend. A few being a swimming club, cadets, cooking and drama.

I do genuinely think though they need more support. The drama needs teachers acutally bothered to do things, a few of my friends who attend acutally are doing the script themselves. The teacher currently hosting it is rather lazy id say. I think they could make more effort to all. They say we're lucky to have a school with several activities (After school) but what about the effort they put into them? You can say its alot but its the bare minimum. Make us proud.

Overall, its a average school, especially in the UK. They could fix way more things ive listed, like way more. Bullying for one. A big amount. But, you have to give credit when needed and id say there is also a few good things.

They have trips and award ceremonies but these are below the bare minimum. For award ceremonies, say for Easter or certificates, you can get chocolate and stuff and thats great, but the people getting the awards isnt. Last one, a person had seven whilst people who were VERY deserving of the same awards had none. How does one person get 7, which congratulations to them, but a group of people don't?

There's attendance reports given out to those without a ridiculously low one even if it has valided reasons and won't be low anymore.

They should do more mental health support and fix their first aid. Im tired of attending it just to be told im fine. Girls being told they should deal with their period cramps is selfish and disgusting, especially by female teachers. I once cut both my knees open whilst running, my fault, but they were bad. The woman at the first aid made me clean them myself. My dad informed me when i got home that she told me the wrong way to clean them. They were bloody and she said wipe them with wet wipes. He said they should have been left then wiped. She just threw a bunch of plasters and that was the end of it. I received no offers of support even though there's 3 flights of stairs and I couldn't walk properly.

Fix the mental health and first aid things.

Mental health should have more recognition!!

Ill give credit to a student protection lady, shes lovely and so is the school counsellor. However, I got put on the counselling list and visited the student protection lady to rant or have a cry whilst waiting and whilst the counselling thing, but the teachers assumed that was it, im done and soughted now im with them.

Teachers say theyre only here to guide you with your education, then act otherwise. They want to know your personal business or go off on about theirs. They're selfish but not at the same time its so confusing.

Well this is the end of my review.

School itself isn’t bad, the students in the school are. Teachers refuse to expel students that have continuous bad behaviour which really impacts the learning of others, multiple students can be seen out of class during lessons and teachers barely resolve the issue . I recommend this school should get another check up immediately.

I’ve been bullied and I’ve only been to Tong for about half a year now. I’m in year 7 and teachers aren’t doing anything about it. DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE

I started at this skl in 2017 and I'm now in Yr 10 doing my gcse so they only give u 4 options to do for and the ones they gave to my year was "btech sport" "art" "child development and care" and "creative imedia" I specifically needed business studies and music to go to college for what I wanted to go to college for yet they advertised they offer all these gcses on their website yet I didn't get the ones I need and don't even get me started on the ammout of bullying and badly behaved students
