Horrible School
Does not deal with bullying at all, my cousin has been punched and assaulted by a bully and no resolution can be found to be effective by the school , DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE, they do not care for them at all

Only poor because of new strict rules
Locking the toilets is a bit much isnt it. Way to strict with your uniform stuff you care more about that than the actual education. Not sure about the whole SLT having earpieces its giving off government secret service agent vibes. Good school tho

Worst experience
First of all, id like to say that the Ofsted "Outstanding" means absolutely nothing when youre talking about the pupils actual experience. As a former student who never got any negative points, didnt recieve any detentions, rarely got told off and handed in all my work to a high standard and on time, i think i have the means to be able to produce an honest review. As a girl, i obviously wore makeup. I had shaved my eyebrows too thin at one point and filled them in. I had some spots that i wante...

DID I GO TO HIGH SCHOOL OR HELL?
Firstly, the staff have no regard for the actual sanity of the students. Going through something tough at home? You get an extra day to do your homework. They care more about the length of school skirts and whether shirts are untucked than the well being of children. Cyber bullying, racial and homophobic comments come second when it comes the to appearance of the school. Secondly, most teacher obviously favour more popular and outspoken students as opposed to the ones actually trying to get an education out of this hell hole. I understand if they’re struggling and the teachers feel like they need an extra push to help them, but blatantly sitting next to them and doing the work for them because they ‘can’t be bothered.’ Or they, ‘feel sick.’ Whilst not batting an eye is not something I believe you get a teachers qualification for. Also, as a girl going through my teenage years I wanted to find ways to express myself and be myself-just like how the school boasts on about us doing-so I wore makeup to school. Nothing extravagant, nothing that was so undeniably eye catching that it took the students attention away from learning, just some blush, mascara, highlighter and maybe some eyeliner, if I was feeling frisky. However, the school seemed to be opposed to the ideology of me wanting to have my own identity, that most of the time they would outwardly embarrass me in-front of my classmates by loudly pointing it out, and then forcing me to scrub my face in a bathroom that had girls looking at me funny as they vaped in the cubicles. It not only felt like a humiliation ritual, but it made me feel like I couldn’t look how I wanted to be seen. Wade Deacon High School would rather children get verbally abused in corridors then let a girl wear nail polish, which is ironic considering the ‘worse off school’ which was right down the road didn’t bat at an at children wearing nail polish or makeup and actually did something when a pupil went to them for help. On another note, some teachers actually knew what they were doing. Making most classes not only interesting but fun as well, but most teachers wouldn’t even teach us the back page of a paper because they ‘couldn’t be bothered.’ And, ‘didn’t think we were able to do it.’ When it finally rolled around to GCSE period, not only did I lose four of my teachers, but most of them just read off a PowerPoint and didn’t even bother actually teaching us, something by younger sibling could do without a teaching degree. Making me feel vulnerable and unstable whilst sitting the biggest tests of my life at the moment. All in all, if you want to go Wade Deacon, or you want your child to go. Don’t. It will make them miserable and depressed like it made half of us. In my opinion, give PnP a try, I heard they’re making a lot of great changes towards the school that maybe Wade Deacon should take notes from. The old pizza was fire though before they changed the menu.

High quality. More attention for students.
It’s a good school, well managed. Uniform policy is too strict and misbehaving students often overshadow the other students. Struggled are dismissed if you’re not misbehaving. Other than that, high quality school, resources and teachers.

wadeVIL deacon
this school is really boring, the staff are rude and dont give a flying monkeys about how you feel. there are only some nice teachers and all the rude ones dont even care about how bad you feel they only care that your not failing which there is more important matters like our mental health. so this school needs some sense smacking into it to really realise how this horrid prison like school system is set up. it is nothing like the open evenings, its like clickbait and a trap. this is one of the...

5 years of HELL!
Past Wade deacon student here! I attended Wade Deacon not too long ago; I have to say the experience was nothing like it is perceived on the open evening and website. I have had dozens of awful experiences over the years that I was there, for a start, the French department is awful. The teachers don't care about you and are extremely uncaring, they are very shouty and aren't very approachable, I asked my French teacher when my mock exam was to which he answered 'Before' and I never found out the date until it was too late, I was very close to failing my French exam due to this! over the years I also came to realize that the 'Wade Deacon experience' very much relies on whether you are a favourite or not I had a very awful experience with my head of year which resulted in my having to skip school so that she wouldn't mistreat me, I was treated awfully by them and there were only a few teachers that I could confide in - one of which teaches food tech. For three years I begged my parents to let me change schools and then it was too late by the time they were willing. Unless you hate your children, I beg you not to send them here. Finally, I am a girl and during my time at this school a girl in my year was sexually assaulted, the school's response? To sit him at my lunch table - DANGEROUS!
