Staff

Couldn’t say a bad word about this school. Staff are kind, teaching is good and my children come home happy. Never have any problems getting them to school. A massive improvement from other middle schools on the area. Thank you.

West Moors Middle

Sent my youngest to WMMS for the end as we moved from up North . Found school to be very good and good communication. My girl loves her tutor and loves going swimming every week. The headteacher is really nice to.

Nightmare

Completely appalled at how staff treated my sons. Both have ehcp special needs. It got worse as time went on. Reduced timetable Reduced hours no interaction with there peers, bullied, isolated. They didn't care my sons were suffering from high anixety. Trauma they suffering from how staff treated them. Children should never be treated like this. Teaching assistant constantly telling my son your not autistic you won't get special school placements. Son would escape school run off every day go missing for two hours plus have to call police and all the school said bring him back when you find him and try again. Staff unhelpful do not understand special needs.

Great school

The school offers a highly nurturing environment where pupils are valued, respected and given every opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge across the curriculum ranging from arts to maths, science, languages, sports and music. The dedicated staff team give their all to develop each pupil's wellbeing, confidence and engagement.

New Parent

Since my child has started at this school, thanks to the hard work of the teaching staff, my child has settled in very quickly. As a parent, it is also brilliant that there are so many after school clubs available, which has also enabled my child to make friends very quickly. I highly recommend this school.

Great school

My son is currently in this school, second year going, yes, year 6! He's grown so much since he started here and enjoys most of the extracurricular after school clubs on offer, free. He's signed up to one almost every day! There's a breakfast and after school club that needs pre booking but you can always ring on the day if you needed it (provided they have space) The office staff are very helpful and it's nice to be reminded via newsletters of important events.

Safeguarding issues

Not enough help for a child in need seems like all they care about I'd what money and how much they can get for children with disabilities leave the child in the corner while they spend the money put any problems under the carpet so the school gets good ratings so they can look good and when you do stand up for yourself they use bullying tactics to keep you quiet this school has totally failed my child and as far as I'm concerned they have distroyed his future and from what I now know have failed child after child and put them at risk which they have tried to hide. Please if your child has a EHCP and needs any kind of help at all avoid this school by all costs. Think of you child's future not what's close or easyest. The 1 star was an only option my real rating is -5.

Off-rolling children without permission

School will off role your child without permission if your child has difficulties that arise, this is only to benifit the school and not the child , school will fail to provide care for children with disabilities and do not put any child's education first, since the takeover for lead management this school has failed many children from bulling to learning or looking after a child's basic needs .

Pretty good but some bad

I had some really good times at the school but also a lot of bad, the worst area of the school is PE and that’s not just cos I’m not athletic it’s because of the teacher who taught it at the time, most of the teachers really care about you well being though and will try there best to help and support you through your learning.
