Do not send your child here for sixth form!

School has obvious issues on the 6th form side.

Students work being marked months after submission on the btec courses leaving the boys with only a week or two to complete it. They act like these boys dont have multiple over subjects to juggle.

The SLT treats these boys like they are year 7 and gives them little to no freedom at all. Such as no lunch breaks outside of school (I thought this was standard) .

The SLT also handles situations that are childish in the highest degree. these boys are heading off to university and the school delivers punishments for the most trivial nonsense. My son told me some boys had a talk they didnt know about and were sanctioned for not going. Another boy was given a saturday detention because his mother forgot to tell the school he was sick. The boy offered to get his mother on the phone but the teacher said no. This all seems to stem from one staff member in particular which I shall not name. She is an english teacher in the sixth form team so im sure other parents will know who im talking about.

This is one of many lack of communicational issues.
Even when issues are resolved they still get sanctioned due to it being "not fair" on the other boys that have been sanctioned.
Frankly I do not care what is 'fair' for the other boys. I care about my son.

The boys grades on the useless review day were no where near what they actually acheived. How are we supposed to help these boys if everyone is predicted the exact same grade. Boys that failed were predicted the same as boys that excelled. Its appaling how many things this school cant get correct.

The school also serves fizzy drinks but refuses to serve bottles of water made out of the exact same plastic for 'environmental purposes'

Absolutely appaling from this school considering their secondary school is great.

This school is terrible

This school is awful. Racism and homophobia is very prominent at this school and poorly dealt with.

A review from a former student

When it comes to Wimbledon college, it all comes down to the behaviour and personality of you as someone looking to attend or your child if you are a parent,

Children who are primarily shy and keep to themselves may be fine throughout the duration of their time at the college but obviously there's no telling who would be in the year group.

When it comes to mental health conditions like autistic spectrum condition and other behavioural conditions they may struggle in the college, I'm not saying that there isn't any support for those with what i stated above but there is the fact that others who don't share an understanding or are insensitive about mental health conditions may make the time at the college hard, as it is an all boys school there is a lack of empathy compared to a mixed school, obviously you may prefer to go to an all boys school or you may prefer your child to but you need to think about if it will be right for you,

one of the biggest negative factors that i can think of is that there is almost 0 LGBT Awareness and support for those who need it, when asked, the senior staff simply said that some parents won't agree with the teachings, but all this tells me is that they care more about a small group of parents, in which the teaching won't directly affect them in any way, than the education of the students, they may have the occasional talk on safe sex maybe once every 4 years at the college but not once is anything about LGBT Related safe sex, this clearly is an issue that should be brought up but this may change in the coming year of me making this post

the school has refused cheap and affordable training for their staff from an LGBT organisation and i don't doubt they have done it multiple times,

Those who's religion may not be Catholic or Christian may be forced to attend the religious activities of the college, obviously everyone is made to attend unless they have an approved reason at the time not to, however for those who have to pray during the school day according to their religion as far as I'm aware the school does allow time for that to happen as long as you tell the school before your child's first day accommodations can be made

If your child is interested in acting and on stage performance the drama department isn't that bad in my personal opinion, the stage in the main hall has a lighting and sound deck allowing for an improved experience in that field
